According to CNMO, recently in three Huawei stores in Beijing, interested buyers can register to receive information about new phones without paying a deposit. Sales staff said that registered customers will be notified of the specifications and colors of the new phones at the appropriate time.
In recent months, there have been rumors that Huawei will soon launch the P70, equipped with a more advanced chip than the Mate 60. Currently, based on leaked information, the Huawei P series boasts advanced cameras and a more stylish design. Additionally, at the Huawei HarmonyOS Spring Communication Conference, Huawei unveiled the Wisdom S7 car and the MateBook X Pro laptop, but did not mention phones, leaving many fans disappointed.
It's reported that the Huawei P70 series may adopt a similar pioneering strategy as the Mate 60 series. Analyst Will Wong from research firm IDC commented on this strategy, saying, "Huawei kills two birds with one stone." He pointed out that amid the tensions in Sino-US trade relations, Huawei can maintain a low profile while creating a mysterious and exciting atmosphere during the launch process.
Archie Zhang, a smartphone analyst at Counterpoint Research, noted that inventory supply has always been a major constraint for the Huawei Mate 60, and the same could be true for the Huawei P70.
