iPhone 16 Pro to Sport a Sleeker Look: Returning to Glossy Stainless Steel Frame

March 30th report reveals that since the iPhone X, Apple has been using stainless steel frames, and the glossy metallic finish has been well-received by many users.

Last year, Apple introduced a titanium frame for the iPhone 15 Pro series, departing from the glossy design and opting for a brushed, matte effect on the frame.

According to the latest news, it seems that Apple simply hadn't found the perfect solution for giving the titanium alloy a glossy treatment at the time. Leaks suggest that this year's iPhone 16 Pro series will feature a smoother and more radiant frame, achieving a similar effect to stainless steel.

Additionally, the issue of titanium being prone to scratches on the iPhone 15 Pro is expected to be significantly improved. Speculations point towards applying a special coating to the surface to address this concern.

In addition to the material changes, various leaked molds and design schematics indicate that the iPhone 16 Pro will feature an added photo button on the right side of the frame, combining physical and capacitive functions.

Pressing the button captures photos, while sliding left and right enables zooming, enhancing the imaging experience. 81a28c3b-9cf4-43ff-a088-5b4d8fccf878.png
