iPhone 15's 128GB Base Storage: Not Enough for Today's Apps and Media

On March 20th, Apple announced that the upcoming iPhone 15 series will continue to start with 128GB of storage, a capacity that is increasingly inadequate for the growing number of apps and media content.

In a recent video, Apple emphasizes that even the 128GB base model will allow users to store massive photo libraries by purchasing iCloud storage.

However, all iPhone 15 models, including the Pro versions, start at 128GB, with only the Pro Max offering a 256GB base option. This falls short compared to many Android competitors.

Industry experts note that Apple's claim might be reasonable in other countries where 128GB of storage may be sufficient for most users. However, in China, this is clearly insufficient.

WeChat, a popular messaging app, is a major culprit in this regard. Users accumulate vast amounts of chat history, images, and videos that can't be easily deleted, leaving them to purchase larger smartphones to keep up with the demand for storage. s_f7b60e9010734aebaef229a3356dc55e.jpg
