March 14th - At the grand opening of Shanghai's AWE 2024, Skyworth Automotive proudly presented its latest creation - the SKYHOME sedan.
It's reported that the SKYWHEEL is Skyworth's first model manufactured on the intelligent CE platform, positioned as a mid-to-large-sized pure electric sedan with a wheelbase of 3100 millimeters and equipped with an intelligent cockpit.
In terms of appearance, the SKYWHEEL boasts a sleek and full-bodied exterior design, featuring integrated light groups both front and rear. The front fascia also incorporates angular bumper elements and intake vents, enhancing the overall sense of depth of the vehicle.
The official statement highlights that the design inspiration for the SkyHome matrix front headlights of Skyworth comes from the glazed tiles commonly found in traditional Chinese architecture, featuring a flip-over capability.
From a side view, the new car features gull-wing doors, with potential adjustments expected post-production.
Setting it apart from conventional sedans, the vehicle boasts a rear-end design with cantilevered wings that can slide backward during motion to reduce drag. Moreover, in specific scenarios like rain or emergency braking, these wings can flip upwards, increasing resistance.
The noteworthy aspect here is that while the new car adopts the currently popular coupe-style design, compared to other models, SKYHOME may not have the highest level of recognition, but its quality stands out. It exudes a sense of luxury, clearly indicating its status as a premium vehicle.
In terms of interior design, the new car adopts the same ultra-long panoramic screen layout as the Galaxy E8. The armrest area features a suspended design, and at the front end, it's equipped with dual wireless charging, also supporting a semi-wraparound steering wheel. The styling is quite avant-garde, and the overall cabin exudes a futuristic vibe.
In the backseat, the Skyhome by Skyworth is equipped with features such as one-touch zero-gravity seat mode, headrest screens, rear table trays, concealed panoramic sunroof screen, intelligent temperature-adjustable fridge, foot reflexology massage, in-car AI GPT, and more.
The powertrain options for the Skyhome by Skyworth include both a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) and a single-motor rear-wheel-drive (RWD) variant. The former boasts a maximum power output of 460 kilowatts, achieving a 0-100 kilometers per hour acceleration time of 3.5 seconds.
Furthermore, the new vehicle is equipped with Skyworth's proprietary LightCharge system, capable of delivering a peak discharge power of up to 100 kilowatts.
Additionally, the Skyhome by Skyworth offers features such as the Onebox braking system, air springs, CDC shock absorbers, and rear-wheel active steering (10 degrees).
