Intel announced today, March 27th, that it is rolling out two major upgrades to its "AI PC Acceleration Program": the "AI PC Developer Program" and the inclusion of Independent Hardware Vendors (IHVs).
According to Intel, these initiatives will provide developers and hardware partners with enhanced compatibility and performance optimization, thereby increasing market opportunities and expanding global influence. This will ultimately optimize and scale AI, accelerating the integration of AI features into over 100 million Intel-based PCs by 2025.
At the end of October 2023, Intel officially launched the "AI PC Acceleration Program" worldwide, aiming to encourage innovation in AI applications and accelerate the adoption and popularization of AI in the consumer-grade client market.
At that time, Intel's AI PC program had over 100 ISV partners, with over 300 AI acceleration features already developed. The newly added "AI PC Developer Program" was tailored for software developers and independent software vendors, providing a comprehensive set of tools, optimized workflows, AI deployment frameworks, and development kits to facilitate the large-scale implementation of new AI technologies on the Intel Core Ultra platform.
Intel has updated its developer resource page to offer developers a one-stop convenience, including the AI PC software development kit, relevant documentation, and training resources, aimed at maximizing the performance of AI and ML applications and accelerating the implementation of new use cases.
After joining the "AI PC Acceleration Program," independent hardware vendors can leverage Intel's resources to thoroughly prepare and deeply optimize their hardware to meet the demands of Intel AI PCs.
Qualified partners gain access to Intel Open Labs for professional technical support and collaboration during the early stages of hardware solution and platform development.
Through this program, Intel also provides reference hardware to independent hardware vendor partners, allowing them to thoroughly test and optimize their technology before product release, ensuring efficient performance upon launch.
In 2024, Intel plans to launch over 230 AI notebook products from 12 OEM manufacturers worldwide, all equipped with Intel Core Ultra processors, supporting more than 300 exclusive AI acceleration features.
