On May 1st, Ideal Car revealed its delivery report for April. In the just-passed month, a total of 25,787 new cars were delivered, marking a 0.4% year-on-year growth. As of April 30, 2024, Ideal Car has delivered a total of 739,551 vehicles.
Ideal Car CEO Li Xiang stated:
The newly released Ideal L6 in April is the company's first product priced below 300,000 RMB, which has been well received by many young family users. In May, a large number of deliveries will commence. During the May Day holiday, we will open all Ideal Supercharging Stations to provide free charging services for Ideal users.
OTA version 5.2 will also be pushed out in May, with the platform capabilities of intelligent driving AD Pro and AD Max undergoing comprehensive evolution. Intelligent driving, intelligent parking, active safety, and other functions will become more mature and secure. Upgraded vehicles will also support Siri Car Control, making voice operations more convenient and efficient.
The L6 mentioned by Li Xiang has indeed shown remarkable performance, with over 20,000 orders received within 12 days of its launch.
Furthermore, on April 22, Ideal introduced a new pricing system. The 2024 models L7/8/9 and MEGA have seen price reductions of up to 20,000 RMB. Existing car owners also receive cash subsidies for the price difference, attracting more consumers to make purchases. As the conversion of orders to deliveries takes some time, it is expected that the delivery volume in May will reflect even better results.
In other aspects, as of April 30, 2024, Ideal Car has 481 retail centers nationwide, covering 144 cities; 361 after-sales service and authorized body spray centers, covering 210 cities. Ideal Car has already put into operation 386 Ideal Supercharging Stations nationwide, with 1,678 charging piles.
