On March 26th, according to the latest data released by Canalys, PC (excluding tablets) shipments in mainland China in 2023 amounted to 41.2 million units, down 17% year-on-year.

Among them, Lenovo, HP, Dell, and Asus all experienced varying degrees of decline, with only Huawei showing a year-on-year growth of 11% among the top 5 vendors.

Specifically, Lenovo's shipments in 2023 reached 15.536 million units, maintaining its leading position in the market with a 38% market share. However, compared to last year, Lenovo's shipments fell by 19% on a month-on-month basis, indicating the intensity of market competition.

HP ranked second with shipments of 4.3 million units, with a year-on-year growth rate of -2%. Huawei closely followed, with shipments of 3.986 million units last year, representing an 11% month-on-month increase.

Dell's shipments in 2023 were nearly halved, plummeting by 44% on a month-on-month basis, with shipments remaining at only 3.148 million units.

Asus, ranked fifth, shipped 2.863 million units, also experiencing a 24% decline.

Despite the challenges facing the current Chinese PC market, Canalys remains optimistic about the market outlook. Canalys predicts that the Chinese PC market will grow by 3% in 2024 and further expand by 10% in 2025. The tablet market is expected to grow by 4% in both 2024 and 2025.

Facing market uncertainties, major PC manufacturers still need to remain vigilant and flexibly adjust their strategies to adapt to the ever-changing market environment. S887ab690-3e2b-48b0-ad82-b9c1828b7e46.png
