According to domestic media reports, the supply chain has confirmed the start of supplying components to the Huawei P70 series, with an expected timely release in April.
According to leaks, the P70 is expected to feature AI photography as its core highlight, incorporating Huawei's self-developed PanGu large model. This model enables AI processing for clearer and more detailed imaging, similar to the AI technology introduced by Xiaomi in ultra-telephoto photography.
As a full-stack, autonomous, and secure AI mega-model, the Pangguo mega-model consists of a three-tier architecture known as "5+N+X". These correspond to the 5 foundational mega-models in the L0 layer, N industry-specific mega-models in the L1 layer, and a variety of more specialized scenario models that users can train independently in the L2 layer.
Previously, in the HarmonyOS 4 system, Huawei had already made Xiaoyi, its voice assistant, smarter through the Pangguo mega-model, enabling functions such as generating text content, and integrating visual capabilities will undoubtedly further enhance the algorithm's precision.
In terms of hardware, the flagship P70 Art model will feature the Sony IMX989 sensor as its main camera, boasting a complete 1-inch sensor, making it Huawei's largest sensor in its imaging flagship lineup to date. Apart from the top-tier models, the P70 series will also come standard with a 50-megapixel main camera with a large sensor and a periscope telephoto lens, offering impressive imaging capabilities even in the standard version.
As for the core components, the P70 series will maintain consistency with the Mate 60, being powered by the Kirin 9000S chip and supporting 5G connectivity.
It's reported that internally at Huawei, the P70 series is being positioned as more important than the Mate series, bearing the significant responsibility of reclaiming the top position in the field of imaging.
