By the evening of the same day, within just 12 hours of pre-order availability, cumulative orders for the Wanjie Xinyuan M5 had already surpassed 10,000 units, marking a successful start for this anticipated model.
For customers who placed pre-orders before the official launch, Hongmeng Smart Mobility has offered a discount of ¥2,000, which can be deducted from the ¥5,000 purchase price, along with the privilege of priority delivery.
The Harmony Smart Travel APP reveals that the new M5's lineup has been streamlined to three models: the new M5 Extended Range Max RS, Extended Range Max, and the Pure Electric Max.
New exterior colors include Metropolitan Red and Tahiti Gray, with an added Amber Brown option for the interior. The RS model offers an optional 20-inch RS Black Diamond sport wheels and an RS Black Diamond package.
All models start with the Max version, equipped with Huawei's ADS 2.0 advanced smart driving system, ensuring top-tier smart driving capabilities from the base model.
The RS version features an upgraded suspension with double-wishbone front suspension and four-ball joints, expected to enhance chassis performance and handling.
Regarding the market performance of the Wenjie M5, Yu Chengdong stated that the order volume has been encouraging based on current market feedback.
Previously, following the launch of the Wenjie M7, it achieved significant success with pre-orders exceeding 100,000 units. The newly arrived Wenjie M5 is also expected to replicate the sales success of the Wenjie M7.
