Huawei Pura 70 Ultra Lens Specifications Revealed, Debuting with Over One-Inch Main Sensor

Fri, Apr 26 2024 07:40 PM EST

[Pacific Tech News] Recently, a blogger disclosed that Huawei's new imaging flagship, the Pura 70 series, will undergo a comprehensive upgrade in imaging technology. It is expected that the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra will feature a 50-megapixel sensor with a sensor size exceeding one inch, utilizing RYYB technology, alongside a 50-megapixel periscope lens, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 13-megapixel autofocus lens.

Huawei's RYYB sensor employs an innovative pixel arrangement, replacing one green pixel with a yellow pixel. Yellow is a combination of red and green light, thus achieving a cumulative brightness effect. Theoretically, this can increase light intake by 30%-40%. Additionally, yellow pixels have a broader spectral response range, capturing more photons, particularly enhancing brightness signal-to-noise ratio in low-light environments, resulting in superior night photography.

With a comprehensive upgrade to its imaging system, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra is expected to become a new generation night photography tool, providing users with a convenient shooting experience in low-light conditions.
