On April 15th, following Yu Chengdong's announcement of the upgrade of the Huawei P series to "Huawei Pura," the official Huawei Mobile Weibo account officially announced the new device—the Huawei Pura 70 Series.
While the new series has been renamed from the P series to the Pura series, it still inherits the previous serial numbers, with plans for future releases including the Pura 80 and Pura 90.
In the promotional video, while there's no direct showcase of the new device, the recurring appearance of a triangular symbol indicates that the rumored triangular rear camera module is indeed a done deal. This design, featuring the highest industry recognition, is instantly recognizable as the Huawei Pura 70 series, with just one glance at its back.
Allegedly, the Pura 70 series comprises four models, following the naming convention from previous releases: Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro, Pura 70 Pro+, and Pura 70 Ultra.
The only change seems to be the replacement of the "Art" suffix with "Ultra." This marks Huawei's first use of "Ultra" nomenclature in their high-end flagship lineup, promising significant enhancements in both configuration and user experience.
The rear main camera uses the Sony IMX989 sensor, marking Huawei's first use of a one-inch sensor and making it the largest sensor model on a Huawei phone to date. This series is positioned internally at Huawei to surpass the Mate series, bearing the responsibility of reclaiming the top spot in imaging. "Chase your heart, forge ahead with determination."
