Recently, Huawei held a product launch event where they introduced the MateBook X Pro 2024 laptop, the Zhijie S7, and shared more details about HarmonyOS Next. However, no official announcements were made regarding the Huawei P70 series.
Now, netizens have leaked the core specifications and starting prices of the Huawei P70 series.
The upcoming Huawei P70 series is expected to come in four models: the standard P70, Pro version, Pro+ variant, and the Art edition.
Leaked information so far suggests that the regular P70 will feature a 6.56-inch quad-curved LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1.5K, while the other three variants will boast larger 6.76-inch screens.
It's rumored that the P70 and P70 Pro will feature OmniVision's 50MP OV50H main sensor, with a sensor size of 1/1.3 inches, 1.2μm pixels, and a variable aperture. The P70 Pro+ and P70 Art may opt for the 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor. All four models will sport a 13MP front-facing camera.
In addition, all four new P70 series phones are expected to run on the yet-to-be-released Kirin 9010 chip, with batteries exceeding 5000mAh and supporting 88W wired fast charging.
Regarding pricing, leaked images suggest the Huawei P70 will start at 4999 CNY for the base 12GB+512GB version, making it cheaper than its predecessor. The P70 Pro will start at 6999 CNY, the P70 Pro+ at 8999 CNY, and the P70 Art at 9999 CNY. For comparison, the Huawei P60 512GB version is currently listed at 5988 CNY on the Huawei website. However, the P60 also offers 128GB and 256GB versions starting at prices as low as 4488 CNY.
Previously, a leaked image purported to be the back panel of the P70 circulated online. The newly leaked renderings align with earlier rumors of a triangular camera module. The back of the phone appears to feature a matte AG glass finish, while the camera module sports a sleek design.
