On May 11th, the Huawei Mate 50 series and P60 series have started receiving the unlimited upgrade to HarmonyOS 4.2.

The models included in this upgrade are Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro, Mate 50 RS Porsche Design, Mate 50E, Mate X3, Mate X3 Collector's Edition, P60, P60 Pro, and P60 Art. s_7fb8b8dc8dc743d6bb1448e3329f9ede.jpg HarmonyOS 4.2 introduces new interactive themes, such as mood themes that can be divided into mood stickers and mood party themes based on different layout forms. Currently, mood themes support over 1500 emojis, allowing users to DIY exclusive themes according to their mood every day.

The system interacts with themes by recognizing the area where the user's eyes are focused. As users move their gaze up and down, stickers will scroll above or below the screen, even flipping and folding at the edges. When users tap a sticker on the screen with their finger, a corner of the sticker will follow the gesture, which is quite adorable.

In terms of security, HarmonyOS 4.2 introduces a floor-level device locating feature to accurately pinpoint the specific floor where a lost device is located, helping users quickly retrieve their phones.

Furthermore, in this version of HarmonyOS 4.2, apps can obtain permission to access the device's orientation to intercept shake-to-advertise redirects, providing users with a cleaner in-app experience. s_0608bc70be9d442c92a19dff1461ab6c.jpg
