On April 17th, according to the digital enthusiast blogger Digichat Station, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra marks the full return of Huawei's imaging flagship, as Huawei was the first to introduce a main camera with a large 1-inch sensor and a periscope zoom lens back in the day.
The Pura 70 Ultra is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera featuring a 1-inch sensor, along with a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, and it supports super macro photography functionality.
Unlike the 1-inch large bottom main camera sensor used by competitors, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra employs a brand-new RYYB array, which differs fundamentally from the traditional RGGB.
The principle of the RYYB array is simply to use yellow instead of green. Yellow is a combination of green and red, and in terms of brightness, it's an overlay of the two. In theory, this can increase the amount of incident light by about 30%-40%.
Furthermore, the spectral response of Y covers a wider range, capturing more photons and significantly improving the signal-to-noise ratio in low-light environments, making nighttime shooting more prominent.
With the blessing of the RYYB array, coupled with Huawei's self-developed XMAGE imaging technology, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra has almost become a new generation "night vision device."
More importantly, the arrival of the Pura 70 Ultra marks Huawei's official entry into the 1-inch sensor club, launching a direct challenge to its competitors.
The device is set to be launched and sold in the near future.
