News on April 3rd reveals that Huawei authorized stores have started accepting pre-orders for the P70 series.
A salesperson at a Huawei store in Chaoyang District, Beijing, stated, "We can now start accepting pre-orders, but the official release date will still depend on Huawei's official announcement."
According to reports, stores can currently assist consumers in reserving the desired memory version of the product, but other product details such as color are not currently known to authorized stores. Blind-order consumers will be notified of these details when the products are officially released.
Currently, all three models of the Huawei P70 series have been certified and are now available online.
Following previous patterns, the P70 series is expected to consist of three models: the P70, P70 Pro, and P70 Art.
The P70 standard version supports Beidou satellite messages, while the P70 Pro and P70 Art go further by supporting Beidou satellite messages as well as communication via the Tiantong-1 satellite.
In terms of specific configurations, the P70 series will feature the same Kirin 9000S chip as the Mate 60 series, supporting 5G. This also marks the first return of the Kirin chip to the Huawei P series since the P50.
The main camera of the P70 AR will feature the Sony IMX989 sensor, marking Huawei's first use of a one-inch sensor and making it the largest sensor size on a Huawei phone to date.
Reportedly, within Huawei's internal meetings, the P70 series is positioned above the Mate series, bearing the heavy responsibility of reclaiming the top spot in imaging.
