Huawei's Wang Lei: Wi-Fi 7 Migration and Wide-Area IPv6+ Upgrade to Open New Market Space

On March 15th, at the Huawei China Partner Conference, Wang Lei, President of Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, stated that we are entering the era of Wi-Fi 7 across campuses, with an expected market space of 10.6 billion Wi-Fi 7 APs. Simultaneously, the comprehensive upgrade to Wide-Area IPv6+ is forecasted to generate a space of 16.5 billion for IPv6+ transformation over three years.

"Ipv6+" is an extensive upgrade based on the next-generation Internet under IPv6, enabling IP networks to transition from being mere "roads" to fully functioning "vehicles," ensuring deterministic performance.

Huawei, driven by the practical needs of key industries, continues to innovate in "IPv6+" root technologies. Innovations such as SRv6, IFIT, FlexE, and APN6 have been integrated with actual industry applications to create a series of innovative solutions.

Leveraging these technologies, Huawei's IPv6+ solutions have been widely deployed across various scenarios. For instance, for B2B scenarios, a combination of "one box, multiple lines, small-grain slicing, and high-quality dedicated lines" allows ISPs to monetize network capabilities as "products." In contrast, for B2H scenarios, real-time analysis of key application indicators for home broadband guides upgrades in home broadband experiences. s_bcaf2176f2444be6a76a397db89ada7a.jpg
