On March 25th, it was reported by domestic media that Xu Wenwei, the founding figure of Huawei chips and former president of HiSilicon, announced his official retirement on his social media account.

In his social media post, Xu Wenwei expressed, "Familiar paths, long-lasting memories! Over 33 years, I have witnessed the development and growth of a great enterprise. Gratitude, appreciation, and best wishes."

It is reported that the chip developed by his team, Huawei's first chip, the C&C08 program-controlled switch, once outperformed numerous foreign switch manufacturers, earning Huawei its initial success. s_735d8b3357e747799c575842a2794e4c.jpg Xu Wenwei, who joined Huawei in 1991, led the development of several significant products, including the first-generation C&C08 digital program-controlled exchange, the first ASIC chip, the first GSM system, and the first core switch for cloud data centers.
