During the interview, Zhao Ming addressed the current competitive landscape in the smartphone market, mentioning that Apple's new iPad Pro also features Honor's first dual-layer OLED display. He also discussed the increasing trend of technological innovation.

According to reports, in 2023, Honor's research and development investment accounted for 11.5% of its sales revenue, almost higher than all other mobile phone manufacturers.
Zhao Ming believes that if Honor wants to secure a place in the future development landscape of mobile phones, it is crucial to adhere to innovation and leadership.
"Last year, I mentioned the return of Huawei, the return of strong competitors, which motivated everyone to work harder to cope and pay more attention to market innovation. This is a good thing, indicating that the mobile phone industry is attracting more innovative investments and rapidly introducing new technologies, which is definitely beneficial for the industry and consumers," Zhao Ming said.
It is known that the all-new iPad Pro from Apple is the first to feature Tandem (dual-layer OLED) technology, using two OLED screens to achieve 1000 nits of overall brightness and a peak brightness of 1600 nits.
However, in fact, Honor had already pioneered this technology in the Magic6 RSR Porsche Design two months ago.
The device features the EyeGuard screen technology, including the industry's first Tandem dual-stack OLED architecture, which can extend screen lifespan by up to 600% and increase energy efficiency by up to 40%.
This technology significantly reduces the risk of OLED burn-in and greatly enhances battery life due to its outstanding energy efficiency.
