March 18th News - Tonight, Honor will host a new product launch event, officially unveiling the first straight-board phone jointly created with Porsche Design - the Honor Magic6 RSR Porsche Design.
It is worth noting that Honor will also livestream the event simultaneously on JD.com, with official teasers hinting at a mysterious heavyweight guest. The silhouette on the poster leaves no doubt that it is Jackie Chan.
It's been reported that after the release event of the Magic6 in January this year, Honor announced Jackie Chan as its ambassador for the Year of the Dragon.
Since then, Jackie Chan has appeared multiple times in promotional videos for Honor, and he has frequently praised the Eagle Eye camera after trying out the new device.
The Honor Magic6 RSR Porsche Design keeps the core specs consistent with its predecessors, still rocking the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, satellite communication, Rhino Glass, adjustable aperture, and the Qinghai Lake battery. However, it's received major upgrades in imaging and screen technology.
The main camera will debut with the OmniVision OV50K sensor, marking the launch of the first domestic one-inch sensor. It's on par with Sony's latest LYT900 generation but sets the industry benchmark for dynamic range, resulting in more textured image quality.
Additionally, the OV50K is the world's first to feature LOFIC technology, ensuring highlights in high-brightness scenes are well-exposed without being overly saturated or blown out.
