April 8th, according to yankodesign's renderings based on the iPhone 16 series molds, the standard version of iPhone 16 can be regarded as the "Dynamic Island Edition" of iPhone X.
The camera arrangement of the two is similar, with the main difference lying in the screen; iPhone 16 adopts the "pill-shaped screen" of Dynamic Island.
It's reported that Apple has adjusted the position of the camera to enable spatial video shooting, aiming to capture videos with a sense of depth and dimensionality, and to integrate seamlessly with their Vision Pro technology.
Specifically, when shooting spatial videos, the ultra-wide and main cameras of the iPhone 16 will work simultaneously. The system automatically adjusts the field of view captured by the ultra-wide camera to match the size of the main camera's view, then saves both as a single video file.
When viewing these spatial videos on the iPhone, they appear in the conventional two-dimensional video format, lacking the spatial effect, similar to regular videos.
Only when viewed on Vision Pro, do these videos come to life in 3D, providing an immersive experience and a more stunning visual impact.
Furthermore, the standard version of the iPhone 16 is expected to be equipped with the Apple A18 chip, making it the most powerful standard model in Apple's history.
