On April 8, according to renderings based on the iPhone 16 series molds by Yanko Design, the standard version of the iPhone 16 can be considered as the "Dynamic Island Edition" of the iPhone X. Both share a similar camera arrangement, with the main difference lying in the screen. The iPhone 16 features the "Dynamic Island" pill-shaped display.
It's been reported that Apple has adjusted the position of the camera to enable spatial video recording, aiming to capture videos with a sense of depth and dimensionality, thus integrating seamlessly with their Vision Pro.
Specifically, when shooting spatial videos, the ultra-wide and main cameras of the iPhone 16 work simultaneously. The system automatically adjusts the field of view captured by the ultra-wide camera to match that of the main camera, and then saves both perspectives as a single video file.
When viewing these spatial videos on the iPhone, the content appears in the form of conventional 2D videos without any spatial effects, looking just like regular videos.
Only when viewed on the Vision Pro, the videos are presented in 3D format, providing viewers with an immersive experience and more stunning visual effects.
Furthermore, the standard version of the iPhone 16 is expected to be equipped with the Apple A18 chip, making it the most powerful standard model in Apple's history.
