On April 30th, supply chain insider Ross Young revealed that the upcoming Apple iPad Pro 2024 will be equipped with the best OLED panel available on the market, with the new device set to make its official debut on May 7th.

Ross Young mentioned that the iPad Pro 2024 will come in two sizes, 12.9 inches and 11.1 inches, featuring an OLED panel that supports LTPO technology and a 120Hz ProMotion display. The panel adopts a dual-series structure, offering high brightness, long lifespan, and improved battery life.

Current OLED screens in smartphones typically use a single-stack structure. In contrast, the dual-stack structure mentioned here involves stacking red (R), green (G), and blue (B) emitting layers into two layers. The advantages include doubling screen brightness and quadrupling product lifespan, albeit at a relatively higher cost.

Compared to traditional OLED panels, the iPad Pro 2024 screen not only maintains LTPO 120Hz adaptive refresh rate but also significantly enhances display brightness and durability. These advancements represent a leap in core parameters.

Furthermore, it's worth noting that the iPad Pro 2024 panel eliminates the need for a backlight module, resulting in a 1mm thinner profile compared to the previous generation. s_2709249468134c0aadeb3b1624467ede.png
