On May 6th, Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Ford China) announced that Ai Xiaoming has been appointed as the President of Changan Ford Motor Co., Ltd. with immediate effect, reporting to the board of Changan Ford. The current President of Changan Ford, He Xiaqing, will officially retire on June 1, 2024. Until then, he will assist in the smooth handover to Ai Xiaoming in a senior advisory role.

Ford China stated that Ai Xiaoming has worked in the Chinese manufacturing and electronic consumer industries for over 20 years, especially in the past decade, holding CEO and other executive positions in the China operations of several Fortune 500 companies. His extensive experience and professional knowledge in enterprise management and operational transformation will help him lead the Changan Ford team to strengthen cooperation with partners, continuously improve product quality and production capacity utilization, and accelerate Changan Ford's transformation towards electrification and intelligence.
Prior to joining Ford China, Ai Xiaoming held several senior management positions, including Senior Director at Amai Enterprise Consultants (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., CEO of Giant KONE Elevators, and President and CEO of Whirlpool China.

It was also mentioned that during his tenure as President of Changan Ford, He Xiaoting made outstanding contributions in the transformation and development of the joint venture business, improvement of operational performance, and enhancement of organizational operational efficiency, especially in leading Changan Ford from losses to three consecutive years of profitability.
