Has Tesla Really Smoothly Sailed in China? Beauty Blogger Gets Kicked Out by Security Guard

On April 30th, Tesla announced that with the gradual lifting of restrictions, its smart connected vehicles can now freely drive and park in various locations without limitations.

But is Tesla really unimpeded in China now?

To verify this, a beauty blogger from Hefei, Anhui recently conducted an on-site test by driving a Tesla, choosing a local tax bureau as her destination.

Upon arrival, she found the gate open and drove the Tesla directly into the compound, only to be stopped by security guards shortly after. The guards clearly informed her that Teslas were not allowed to enter and requested her to drive the vehicle away.

The security guard mentioned that they had not received any notice about Tesla being allowed entry.

The blogger noted that she only tested a local government unit, which may not represent other places.

It is worth noting that government agencies like tax bureaus usually have strict security management systems, including control over vehicles entering and exiting. Unless granted special permission or for official business needs, private vehicles are generally not allowed to enter government agency compounds freely to ensure the safety and order of the premises. s_0a8e34d8907547028a8013b13b903492.png
