Tech Update from CNMO: In January this year, media outlets 91mobiles and MySmartPrice separately unveiled renders of the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro. However, there are now reports suggesting that these devices are actually the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL. Google is set to introduce an "XL" version this year, marking the first XL release since the Pixel 5 series. Now, 91mobiles brings the exclusive first look at the appearance of the Pixel 9.
The package consists of four 5K rendered images and a 360-degree video, giving us an intuitive understanding of the upcoming Pixel 9. Based on the renders, the Pixel 9 shares a similar design to the Pixel 9 Pro, featuring a compact body and a substantial rear camera module. However, unlike the three-camera system of the Pro model, the Pixel 9 opts for a dual-camera setup.
The Pixel 9 will feature a rounded-edge flat screen with a centered hole-punch design. The power and volume buttons will be located on the right side of the phone's frame. This smartphone will come with a 6.03-inch display, slightly smaller than the Pixel 9 Pro's 6.1-inch screen. According to OnLeaks, the dimensions of the Pixel 9 are approximately 152.8×71.9×8.5mm, with the rear camera protruding at 12mm.
The black color of the Pixel 9 is similar to the Pixel 9 Pro XL. Google is likely to introduce other colors for the Pixel 9. It seems that Google is aiming to change the design of the Pixel 9 series to make it resemble the iPhone 15 or even the Galaxy S24 series.
However, while we have a concept of the Pixel 9's appearance, we know very little about the device's specs. There have been rumors suggesting that the device will feature "Adaptive Touch" technology, which adjusts the touchscreen sensitivity based on factors like environment, activity, or screen protectors.
The Pixel 9 series is also expected to adopt Qi2 charging technology. This is an upgraded standard that can increase wireless charging speeds to 15W and incorporates magnetic alignment. The Pixel 9 series is also likely to feature the yet-to-be-released Tensor G4 chipset.
