According to Pulsestacks on March 29th, Google introduced the Gemini large language model for the Pixel 8 Pro phone in last December's Feature Drop. In a press release today, Google announced that the next Pixel Feature Drop will introduce the Gemini Nano model for the Pixel 8 phone.
Google has announced that with the introduction of the Gemini Nano model in the Pixel 8 phone, two primary AI features have been added initially. One of them is the Summarize feature introduced in the Recorder app, which can summarize conversations, interviews, presentations, and other content from recordings without requiring an internet connection.
The second AI feature introduces Magic Compose in Messages, which automatically generates stylized suggested replies based on the contextual information of user messages. With this feature, users can generate various new compositions and replies and also request rewrites of related content in different styles.
Note from Pulsestacks: Google's Pixel Feature Drops are released quarterly, and the company just rolled out an update in March, which means Pixel 8 users will have to wait a while before they can access these features.
