On March 27th, according to reports from multiple domestic media outlets, Ms. Wang underwent surgery to remove 24 gallstones due to "cholesterol-rich gallstones." Out of these, 1 was sent for examination, 2 were discarded as fragments, while the remaining 21 were kept by her for amusement.

Ms. Wang stated: "My 'alchemy furnace' is now empty, and these are all 'unique items', so I don't plan to process or sell them."

Data shows that the formation of gallstones is primarily related to an imbalance in the levels of cholesterol, bilirubin, and bile salts in bile. When the concentrations of cholesterol and bilirubin exceed what bile can dissolve, they crystallize and gradually accumulate in the gallbladder, eventually forming stones.

Cholesterol-rich gallstones can cause a series of symptoms and complications. Common symptoms include pain in the upper right abdomen, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, and indigestion. When stones block the gallbladder or bile ducts, it can lead to serious complications such as acute cholecystitis, cholangitis, or even gallbladder perforation.

The key to preventing gallstones lies in improving dietary and lifestyle habits, including:

  1. Maintaining a healthy balanced diet: Consuming plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean meats while reducing intake of high-cholesterol, high-fat, and high-sugar foods.

  2. Limiting intake of high-cholesterol foods: Avoiding animal organs, fatty meats, fried foods, etc., to prevent excessive cholesterol intake.

  3. Moderate exercise: Maintaining a proper weight and level of physical activity helps promote bile flow and metabolism, reducing the risk of stone formation.

  4. Dietary habits: Eating meals on time, avoiding excessive alcohol consumption and overeating, and not binge eating can help maintain stable bile levels.

By following these preventive measures, the risk of gallstone formation can be reduced, thus maintaining overall health. s_ddfac2b259dc4a03b9088c84e8d88deb.jpg
