On March 9th, domestic media sources reported that an employee from Xiaomi confirmed the news that Xiaomi cars will start selling in April.

At the same time, the Xiaomi Home store in Beijing's Oriental Plaza is set to open in April, with corresponding test drive events to follow.

If we go by the rumors that the Xiaomi car will be launched on March 28th, and it starts selling in April, then Xiaomi must have been in full production mode for the SU7, possibly having a few hundred or even a thousand vehicles in stock by now.

It's understood that the Xiaomi SU7 will be equipped with a 101kWh ternary lithium battery pack from CATL, featuring an 800V high-voltage platform, with a maximum range of 800km. In terms of charging, it can gain 220km of range in 5 minutes, and 510km in 15 minutes.

Lei Jun also shared his profound reflections on Xiaomi's experience in car-making. He emphasized that as the crown jewel of the industry, there are no shortcuts in the century-long race of automotive development. Therefore, Xiaomi has decided to start with the core foundational technologies, insisting on original development, and deeply investing in key areas such as electric propulsion, batteries, large-scale die casting, intelligent driving, and intelligent cockpits, striving to achieve a leading position globally and within China.

Xiaomi is committed to a "tenfold investment" to build a truly excellent car and drive the progress of the entire industry through technological innovation.

The price is now of utmost concern. According to sources, the Xiaomi car will come in multiple versions, with the cheapest possibly being around 200,000 to 300,000 RMB. Indeed, setting the price is challenging, especially since the competition is fierce in the 200,000 to 300,000 RMB price range. s_525987fce103430a9284215ce2831736.jpg
