April 20 news, according to national media, German Finance Minister Lindner recently stated that German cars are the best in the world, thus there is no need to fear competition from Chinese manufacturers.
He emphasized, "Whether it's traditional combustion engine vehicles or the newer electric vehicles, German cars are at a leading position globally." He believes that German car manufacturers do not need to worry about competition from China as they already hold a leading position worldwide.
When asked about the possibility of "overinvestment" leading to cost pressures on car manufacturers, Lindner firmly claimed that the quality of German cars is "unmatched," and stressed that purchasing decisions should be made independently by customers.
Notably, CEOs from German car manufacturers such as BMW and Mercedes have recently visited China, expressing a desire to increase investments and deepen cooperation in the Chinese market.
