On February 27th, during the launch event of the "Geely China Star Gemini," the Geely Star Glory underwent a challenging "8-ton truck extreme five-truck collision" test.

The "Star Glory Extreme Five-Truck Collision Trial" simulated a real scenario where five vehicles were rear-ended, a common occurrence in high-speed accidents.

Video footage from the scene depicted an unmanned 8-ton truck accelerating from a distance of 150 meters, colliding with a convoy of five vehicles, with the Star Glory positioned in the middle.

Following the intense collisions, the Star Glory exhibited better front and rear crumple zones compared to other models in the convoy, with no significant deformation or compression in the passenger cabin, and all four doors remained operable.

Officials stated that the Geely Star Glory, equipped with features such as the 7-series space aluminum front crash beam, energy-absorbing box surpassing the length of similar models, Z-shaped deformation longitudinal beam structure, and detachable sub-frame structure, withstood an impact energy exceeding the national standard by 5.9 times.

In response, netizens expressed their opinions, with remarks like: "The strength of this vehicle's body proves that Geely's acquisition of Volvo wasn't in vain," and "Ever since Volvo became part of the Geely family, Geely's vehicle safety standards have clearly elevated by more than one level." s_89037dab7a80472ab5344a0282425e14.png
