Gao Wen Wins the 2023 Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Highest Achievement Award

On March 7th, the website of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence announced the awards for the 2023 Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award, with 70 achievements (individuals) receiving the "Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award" for 2023. Gao Wen, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and director of Pengcheng Laboratory, has been honored with the "Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Highest Achievement Award". 65e9e06de4b03b5da6d0ae64.jpg Gao Wen, a member of the 14th National People's Congress, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). Currently serving as the director of Peng Cheng Laboratory, director of the Department of Information and Engineering Sciences at Peking University, and chair professor. He also holds positions as the chairman of the Strategic Alliance for Technological Innovation in the Next Generation Artificial Intelligence Industry and the leader of the Digital Audio and Video Coding Technology Standard Working Group. He has been awarded the National Science and Technology Award, including one first prize and eight second prizes, as well as the He Liang He Li Foundation Scientific and Technological Progress Award, the Wang Xuan Prize of the China Computer Federation, and titles such as one of China's Top Ten Educational Talents, Outstanding Contribution Award in South Guangdong, and the National May 1st Labor Medal.

The Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award, hailed as the "highest award in Chinese intelligent technology," qualifies for nomination for the National Science and Technology Award and symbolizes the highest honor in the field of artificial intelligence. Established in 2011, this award honors pioneers and leaders in the field of Chinese intelligent science and technology, named after Wu Wenjun, the first winner of the National Highest Science and Technology Award and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It rewards scientists and managers who have made significant breakthroughs and outstanding contributions in the field of intelligent science and technology.
