Gamers' Beloved Choice! RTX 3060/3050 to Be Sold for Another Quarter

April 8th, latest reports indicate that NVIDIA has postponed the discontinuation of production for two previous-generation entry-level graphics cards, the RTX 3060 and RTX 3050, extending their supply for at least another quarter to meet market demands.

Initially, NVIDIA had planned to cease production of the RTX 3060 GPU by the end of 2023, selling until stocks depleted. However, the company later decided to extend this timeline due to the continued popularity of these cards.

According to the latest hardware rankings on Steam, the RTX 3060 firmly holds the top spot, commanding over 5% of the market share, with its proportion steadily rising. In contrast, the second-ranked RTX 2060 lags behind at just 3.7%. s_b6091d3939a84b68bcb4f73d28667ca2.png Industry insiders reveal that NVIDIA has decided to continue supplying RTX 3060 and RTX 3050 GPU chips in the second quarter of this year, albeit in limited quantities. This move aims to meet the demands of AIC manufacturers while avoiding excessive stockpiling at the last moment.

As for the supply in the second half of the year, it remains uncertain and will likely depend on the changing market demands.

The lowest-end model of the RTX 40 series will only reach the RTX 4060, currently priced at over 2300 CNY. This pricing strategy is not very friendly to entry-level gamers. While the RTX 3060 and RTX 3050 are viable options, they are not to be disregarded easily.

Recently, a 6GB version of the RTX 3050 was introduced, albeit with reduced core specifications in addition to the trimmed VRAM. However, the price still starts at 1399 CNY.

It can only be said that AMD still has to put in more effort! 3f107251-fb9a-4ee5-b673-11986ae14f2a.jpg
