On March 29th, it was reported that foldable screen devices are mainly divided into two categories: flip-style small foldables and book-style large foldable screens.

As a leading tech company, Apple is actively developing foldable screen devices. According to media reports, Apple's Vision Pro engineers have been reassigned to the foldable iPhone project, pushing the release date of this new product from 2026 to 2027.

The report also indicates that in January of this year, suppliers such as Samsung and LG Display sent foldable screen samples to Apple, with product sizes ranging from 7 to 8 inches.

Apple has extremely high requirements for panel specifications, hoping to reduce the thickness to half of the current iPhone and achieve a surface that is completely smooth with minimal creases.

On the other hand, Apple has applied for multiple patents related to foldable screen displays, such as embedding flexible panels in phones to minimize fold axis creases.

Furthermore, the company plans to use polymer materials such as organosilicon or acrylic ester to fill the display, effectively reducing glare issues. s_1e7e7ebacc8d44dd80899fcb0f15e8be.png
