On March 15th, news broke out about a video of the Aito M7 swiftly avoiding a pedestrian jaywalking, going viral. Contrary to the rumors, it's not the M9, but the newly released M7 model.

According to the blogger who leaked the information, the widely circulated video was confirmed to be of the new Aito M7, recorded on March 13th at 22:20, with the driver claiming to be speeding over 120 km/h.

Unexpectedly, the video was mistakenly shared as other brands by many netizens. The car owner came forward to clarify this issue.

Regarding the accusations of staging the video, some netizens pointed out that the hazard lights were activated in the moment of avoidance and the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) intervention was undeniable, putting to rest the claims that it was manually driven.

Indeed, Huawei's technological prowess in autonomous driving is undeniable and has been a key driver behind Aito's sales surge.

Previously, Yu Chengdong had stated that the forward AEB capability has significantly improved, operating within a speed range of 4-130 km/h, including the recognition of stationary vehicles at speeds up to 120 km/h, marking a 33% improvement since September last year.

Experts believe that Huawei's success in autonomous driving is due to its reliance on a combination of vision, millimeter-wave, ultrasonic, and LiDAR technologies, which allows for stronger fusion capabilities through the integration of multi-sensor data. s_ddbf7fb7be42420cafb172e0d9c4f90b.jpg
