On May 12th, it was reported that the latest masterpiece from Geometry Leopard Motors, the Leopard 8, has been officially declared on the MIIT website, and is expected to be officially launched after the third quarter of 2024.
It is understood that this vehicle is a brand-new model built on the BYD DMO super hybrid off-road platform, showcasing a strong sense of technology and power in its appearance. It also brings innovation to the power system, featuring a 2.0T plug-in hybrid system, providing a new choice for off-road enthusiasts.
In terms of appearance, the design of the Leopard 8 is inspired by "starships," symbolizing the vehicle's ability to traverse uncharted territories like a starship.
The front face features a bold design, incorporating the iconic locking elements of the Formula Leopard automotive family, enhancing brand recognition.
The wrap-around spare tire design at the rear of the car, inspired by planetary rings, combined with the "thruster-style" taillights, provides a highly recognizable visual effect.
With dimensions of 5195/1994/1875(1905)mm and a wheelbase of 2920mm, the car offers a spacious interior for passengers.
In terms of power, the Leopard 8 is equipped with a 2.0T plug-in hybrid system, with the engine reaching a maximum power of 200kW. It uses a lithium iron phosphate battery for energy storage and is paired with a permanent magnet synchronous motor, with peak power of 200kW and 300kW front and rear, respectively.
In addition to power and appearance, the Leopard 8 also features the Cloud Chariot-P active hydraulic body control system and the Eye of Tian Shen advanced intelligent driving assistance system, further enhancing the vehicle's safety and driving experience.
