At the inaugural delivery ceremony held at the Xiaomi Automobile Factory, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun posed for commemorative photos with each car owner. Before the owners embarked on their journeys in their own Xiaomi SU7 vehicles, Lei Jun even personally opened the car doors for them.
Before the delivery ceremony, Lei Jun posted on Weibo: "Starting from today, Xiaomi officially becomes an automobile manufacturer. Shouldn't you all call me Chief Lei now?"
It's been reported that the Xiaomi SU7 Founder's Edition is a limited edition model launched to express gratitude to its loyal fans, with only 5000 units available worldwide.
The Founder's Edition features exclusive markings, including a limited metal emblem, a unique serial number plaque, and a special edition gift box (containing a Founder's Edition certificate, a unique serial number, and a limited edition Bluetooth keychain with Lei Jun's signature).
According to Xiaomi Automotive officials, the first batch of Xiaomi SU7 Founder's Edition cars were freshly produced around the time of the March 28th launch event, rather than being from existing inventory.
