On March 7th, reports from foreign media revealed that a Ferrari Enzo was recently involved in a crash on a highway near Munich, Germany.
As one of Ferrari's most iconic and coveted models, the car is currently valued at over $4 million USD in the secondary market, equivalent to approximately ¥28.79 million RMB. Since its release, only 400 units of this car have been produced, making it highly sought after by collectors.
According to reports, the accident occurred around 11:20 a.m. local time on Tuesday on the A99 highway near Munich.
It's reported that as the driver approached the Neuherberg exit, they lost control of the powerful supercar and collided with the central barrier of the highway.
From official photos released, the front end of the Ferrari Enzo appears to be completely totaled, with the bumper, hood, and headlights completely torn off the car. The driver's side front wheel and suspension components are severely damaged, making it difficult to determine if the carbon fiber monocoque supporting the car has also been compromised.
However, despite sustaining severe damage, this classic supercar should be repairable as long as someone is willing to pay the hefty cost required to get it back on the road.
As early as 2006, an Enzo was split in half on the Pacific Coast Highway, but years later, it was restored and sold at auction for approximately $1.75 million, equivalent to about 12.59 million Chinese CNY.
