On April 30th, a video of a woman jumping out of a moving taxi has sparked widespread attention and discussion online.
The video shows a taxi with hazard lights on speeding on an elevated road. Shockingly, the door suddenly opens, and a woman jumps out, rolling on the ground upon landing.
According to the Police-Media Direct Line - Pudong Report: At 7:19 am on April 30, 2024, the Pudong Public Security Sub-Bureau received a report that someone jumped out of a taxi near the exit of Jinxiu Road on the inner ring of the Middle Ring Elevated Road.
After preliminary investigation, it was found that when Yang (female, 54 years old, taxi driver) was driving passenger Zhang (female, 34 years old) from Pudong Airport to the mentioned location, Zhang requested the driver to stop on the elevated road, which was refused. Subsequently, Zhang opened the car door from the rear and jumped out.
After a medical examination, Zhang suffered superficial abrasions on her face and hands, with no serious injuries.
During the investigation, police noted Zhang's confusion and incoherent speech. Further follow-up actions are currently underway.
While car chases are a common sight in movies and TV shows, they are purely for dramatic effect. In real life, such actions are extremely dangerous and should always be avoided.
