Recently, the People's Government of Jiangxi Province announced that Fan Xiaolin has been appointed as the Director of the Provincial Academy of Sciences after deliberation by the provincial government.
According to publicly available information, Mr. Fan Xiaolin, a Han Chinese male born in November 1970, is a member of the Communist Party of China. He holds a doctoral degree and is a professor with a background in graduate studies. He obtained his Master of Engineering degree from Harbin Institute of Technology in 1996 and his Doctor of Engineering degree from the National University of Defense Technology in November 1999.
Currently, he serves as the Secretary of the Party Committee and the President of Jiangxi Academy of Sciences.
In 1993, he graduated from the Department of Chemistry at Gannan Normal University. In 1996, he obtained his Master of Engineering degree from Harbin Institute of Technology. In November 1999, he earned his Doctor of Engineering degree from the National University of Defense Technology. In March 2000, he started working at the 55th Research Institute of the General Staff Department of the People's Liberation Army (During this period: In 2001, he joined the Key Laboratory of Molecular Nanostructure and Nanotechnology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences as a postdoctoral researcher). After completing his postdoctoral research in 2004, he returned to work at Gannan Normal University, where he served as a member of the Party Committee, Vice President, Director of the Jiangxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Organic Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and supervisor of master's students. In October 2014, he was nominated as the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and the President of Pingxiang College. In November 2014, he became the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and the President of Pingxiang College. In January 2017, he was appointed as the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and the President of Gannan Normal University. In January 2020, he was appointed as the Secretary of the Party Committee of Gannan Normal University (until March 2021). In March 2021, he was appointed as the Secretary of the Party Committee of East China University of Technology (until January 2022). He has also served as the Deputy Secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Deputy Director of the Provincial Supervisory Commission, as well as the nominated candidate for Deputy Secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Deputy Director of the Provincial Supervisory Commission.
In February 2024, he was appointed as the Secretary of the Party Committee and the President of Jiangxi Academy of Sciences.
