On May 9th, according to reports from various domestic media outlets, the recent "May Day" holiday saw major cities and key tourist attractions across the country entering a "sea of people" mode.

Official data shows that during the 2024 "May Day" holiday, a total of 295 million domestic tourists traveled nationwide, marking a 7.6% increase compared to the previous year.

On social media platforms, several popular tourist cities experienced a festive atmosphere with crowds of people, leading some netizens to feel like there were "a billion people" in every city.

In response to this, Ctrip's Liang Jianzhang suggested implementing a flexible annual leave system and widely promoting spring and autumn breaks for primary and secondary schools.

Liang Jianzhang believes that implementing a paid leave system for employees will not significantly hinder operations. For students, one to two weeks of vacation will not impede their learning progress.

If spring and autumn breaks can be effectively implemented, they will create two new peaks for tourism while reducing the current congestion during peak holiday periods. s_efb0958b74614ee595db213f9c9e7a99.jpg
