Dai Houliang, Chairman of the China Chemical Industry Association and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, sent a congratulatory letter. Experts, scientists, and young people from the petroleum and chemical industries attended the event.

It is reported that this collection activity is open to primary and secondary school students and adults nationwide, soliciting three types of works: popular science articles, popular science videos, and other works (including flat works, newspapers, photography, cultural and creative designs, etc.). The event has received enthusiastic responses and wide participation from numerous scientists, technologists, and young people, with over 1,300 various works submitted. The themes of the works include combustible ice, shale gas, Asia's first and the world's second vertical underground well with a depth exceeding 10,000 meters, and a 12,000-meter ultra-deep well automated drilling rig.

At the event, a "bowing machine" puzzle toy attracted the attention of young people, with many stopping to focus on assembling it. It was introduced as a supporting cultural and creative product of the popular science book "Exploring Petroleum: The Black Treasure Hidden Underground." "Exploring Petroleum" was jointly planned by the China Chemical Industry Association, the Publicity Department of the Party Group of China National Petroleum Corporation, and published by the Petroleum Industry Press, serving as an important outcome of this popular science collection activity. Currently, it is being released in Kazakh and English versions. 6653e716e4b03b5da6d0f7f5.jpeg Press Conference
