To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the successful detonation of China's first atomic bomb and to welcome the upcoming 70th anniversary of the establishment of the nuclear industry, the "Revisiting the Path of Nuclear Industry" media tour, sponsored by China National Nuclear Corporation and guided by the News and Publicity Center of the State Administration for Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, kicked off on March 25th at the China Institute of Atomic Energy in Beijing.

This location holds significance as the birthplace of China's nuclear science and technology. It is here that the first "pile and device" – China's first heavy water reactor and the first cyclotron – were constructed, marking the entry of New China into the atomic energy era. 660184bfe4b03b5da6d0bc26.jpg The first uranium ore discovered in China was found in 1954 in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. A replica of it is displayed at the China Nuclear Industry Science and Technology Museum, attracting visitors to stop and take photos.
