Education Powerhouse and Industrial Innovation Integration Development Forum Held in Beijing

On April 18th, the Education Powerhouse and Industrial Innovation Integration Development Forum and the establishment ceremony of the third council of China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) were held in Beijing.

During the forum, Professor Ge Shirong, President of China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a special report titled "Mine Robotization Mining Technology," elucidating the direction, trends, and current status of mine robotization mining technology. He emphasized the need to strengthen the research on common key theories and technologies of mine robots and further enhance the level of autonomy and intelligence.

Professor He Manchao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), delivered a special report titled "The Ingenious Use of Mine Pressure - Tunnel State Key Laboratory and New Productivity," explaining how to scientifically utilize mine pressure through basic theoretical research and extensive engineering practice to achieve safe and green coal mining.

Professor Wu Qiang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), delivered a special report titled "Reflections on Several Issues of Energy Strategy," proposing to improve the regulation capability of renewable energy such as wind and solar power through the empowerment of new productivity, and promote the clean and low-carbon application of fossil energy such as coal to achieve systematic efficiency and energy conservation.

Representatives of the third council of China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) spoke on accelerating the development of new productivity, integrating industrial innovation, building cooperation platforms for industry, academia, and research, and promoting the development of the university through the council platform. They expressed their intention to further strengthen cooperation with China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) in talent cultivation, scientific research, and achievement transformation, to achieve mutual development and win-win cooperation between the university and enterprises.

The forum, hosted by China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), was attended by academicians and experts from the energy and mining industry as well as representatives from 138 enterprises. With a history of 115 years, China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) has constructed a long-term mechanism for industry-education integration through effective collaboration between government, industry, academia, and research.
