On March 27th to 28th, the National Excellent Engineer College of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) held its inaugural board meeting and development conference.
Officials from UESTC presented the construction plan for the National Excellent Engineer College. Representatives from Beihang University and Zhejiang University shared their respective practices and experiences in constructing their own National Excellent Engineer Colleges.
Cao Ping, the Party Secretary of UESTC, presented plaques to the chair units of the 14 directorates and, along with the attendees, witnessed the official establishment of the National Excellent Engineer College at UESTC.
The National Excellent Engineer College at UESTC is an independent secondary institution operating within the university. It selects students jointly with enterprises, primarily from outstanding recommended students and business elites recommended by enterprises. The college has high standards for student selection, aiming to cultivate engineers who are dedicated to the party and the country, committed to their profession, possess outstanding technological innovation capabilities, and are adept at solving complex engineering problems.
