As of March 18th, Dongfeng Peugeot officially launched its compact sedan, the Peugeot 408 rerun model, offering three versions with prices ranging from 109,700 to 125,700 RMB.
The official promotional offers include a limited-time cash discount of 13,000 RMB, an inflation multiplier of 6 times for only 999 RMB, a 2,000 RMB gas card upon delivery in March, financing options, and a 5-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty.
The Peugeot 408 Dragon款 continues the design language of its current version, featuring the "Lion's Soul Aesthetics" family design. It sports a large, smoked black grille with fang-like LED daytime running lights, echoing the style of its elder sibling, the 508L.
Positioned as a compact sedan, it measures 475018201488mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2730mm. Its profile boasts a sharp upward-sloping waistline, creating a dynamic stance, while offering a choice of colors including "Cézanne White," "Monet Gray," and "Degas Black."
In terms of interior design, you can always count on the French for their flair. The new car continues with the i-Cockpit unique cockpit design. The compact dual-spoke steering wheel is quite avant-garde, accompanied by a 12-inch LCD instrument panel and a 10-inch touchscreen. It also retains an ample amount of physical buttons, making it convenient for everyday use.
The highlight of this car lies in its power, featuring the Dragon's fourth-generation 360THP 1.5T four-cylinder engine. It can deliver up to 173 horsepower (127kW) and peak torque of 255N·m, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
This engine achieves a higher tumble ratio of the intake air in the cylinder by adjusting the piston stroke (increasing by about 13%). This enhances the engine's combustion efficiency, leading to improved performance and reduced fuel consumption. Officially, it's stated to consume fuel at a rate of 6.1L/100km.
