On March 12th, in an interview, the Chairman of Gree Electric, Dong Mingzhu, expressed that employees feel pressure when their income is low.
According to Dong Mingzhu, the stress for employees doesn't come from working hard but from having a low income. "If someone earns a high income, they don't need to hire a nanny; they can manage on their own. Currently, even after hiring a nanny, there is still anxiety about child abduction or mistreatment at home. These various issues combined create a lack of happiness, leading to stress and natural anxiety."
"Therefore, our focus is on creating a relaxed and comfortable environment, but not encouraging complete idleness," Dong Mingzhu added.
Dong Mingzhu reiterated her stance on earning millions annually, expressing willingness to bear a higher tax burden. She emphasized the need to raise the income of ordinary working-class individuals to provide them with a sense of happiness.
Dong Mingzhu also pointed out that today's youth are too restless, mistakenly believing that obtaining a university diploma automatically makes them talented.
In Dong Mingzhu's perspective, making money is a result of achieving success, not something that comes easily. Having a university diploma doesn't automatically make someone talented; it's the accomplishments that matter.
