On April 12th, according to the latest data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), domestic car brands are increasingly dominating the market while foreign car sales are on a downward trend.

The data reveals that in the first three months of this year, a total of 1.69 million vehicles were sold in the Chinese market, with domestic brands accounting for 927,000 units, marking a 19.4% year-on-year increase.

In contrast, sales of Japanese cars reached 233,000 units, marking an 8.6% year-on-year decline; German car sales totaled 344,000 units, experiencing a slight 0.9% decrease.

Furthermore, sales of Korean cars plummeted to 24,600 units, a significant 17% year-on-year decrease; while American car sales amounted to 138,000 units, down by 12.7% compared to the same period last year. s_0aefac887f574877bd312233e40f25d6.png Among all foreign car brands, French brands performed the weakest, with sales of only 6,359 units in March, plummeting by 30.7% compared to the same period last year, marking the largest decline among all car series.

These figures indicate that the competitive position of domestic car brands in the Chinese market is on the rise, while some foreign brands may need to adopt strategic adjustments to address this change. s_ec2039fd33e542b899259d9a7bb1ac2a.jpg
