DLSS 3.7 Quietly Released: What's New?

On April 3rd, developers have noticed that NVIDIA has quietly rolled out the Streamline 2.4.0 SDK development kit along with the new version of DLSS, 3.7.0. However, the official release notes or announcements from NVIDIA are yet to surface.

Streamline is utilized to assist in the development of DLSS technology, greatly simplifying the process and difficulty for third-party applications to integrate DLSS support.

Despite Microsoft's announcement of DirectSR as a potential successor, considering Microsoft's delays and various technical and non-technical issues, Streamline is not likely to be abandoned easily. s_7b899bd7cd994a3dbc659293f7119ed2.png In the latest version of Streamline, DLSS 3.7.0-related library files have already appeared, but they're currently limited to ray tracing reconstruction and DLSS-D, indicating that deployment isn't yet complete.

Additionally, there's a new configuration file, sl::DLSSPresent::ePresetE, which some developers have tested and noted improved clarity in motion scenes, with reduced smearing. However, this might only apply to certain games and doesn't represent all scenarios.

As for what changes DLSS 3.7.0 will bring, we'll have to wait for an official announcement. DLSS 3.5 was released in August last year, primarily introducing ray tracing reconstruction. It's worth noting that DLSS 3.5 doesn't replace DLSS 3.1; instead, they coexist.

It remains to be seen what DLSS 3.7 will entail. There's speculation that by the end of this year, we might see the next generation of the RTX 50 series. Will DLSS 4 accompany this release? We'll have to wait and see. s_847cb8e59d6c4f45a046efa11343c759.jpg
