Now, only vivo remains to unveil its flagship flat-panel smartphone for the year. According to insights from executives at the blue factory, this model is set to make its official debut in May.
Accompanying the debut of the vivo X100 Ultra in the industry is the vivo X100s series. However, there's a crucial detail to note: the vivo X100s series boasts the global premiere of the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor, which hasn't been officially released yet. According to MediaTek's official announcement, they will convene their annual developer conference on May 7th, where the Dimensity 9300+ is expected to make its debut. Therefore, the release of the vivo X100s series will likely occur after May 7th.
Interestingly, information about the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ has already surfaced. It's essentially an overclocked version of the Dimensity 9300, with the CPU clock speed increased from 3.25GHz to 3.4GHz. This boost in clock speed by MediaTek makes the Dimensity 9300+ the 5G processor with the highest frequency in the Android camp, surpassing even the current Qualcomm Snapdragon 8Gen 3, which clocks at 3.3GHz.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ doesn't seem to bring significant changes beyond an increase in CPU clock speed. It still features a large core design, the same GPU - the Immortalis-G720 MC12, running at around 1300MHz, and other similar specifications compared to the 9300. However, industry forecasts suggest that the official release of the Dimensity 9300+ will set new performance records for Android devices. With the Dimensity 9300 already surpassing 2.2 million points in benchmark scores, one can only speculate how much higher the Dimensity 9300+ might score.
Of course, benchmark scores are just one aspect, and what everyone really hopes for is a balanced performance across all aspects of the Dimensity 9300+, which would earn it recognition from more brands.
For the vivo X100s series, it appears to be essentially an incremental update from the X100, with not much change expected in other aspects.
