They unveiled a new generation of 7.0L and 6.2L engines and clarified misleading information surrounding the 15N gas engine since the beginning of the year.

"Fully Powered by Core Technology: Two Classic Medium Engines Unveiled
During the event, Cummins, together with two partners - Dongfeng Motor and Foton Motor, unveiled two new generations of medium engines, the 7.0L and 6.2L models, compliant with the fuel consumption standards of Stage IV. These engines will be produced simultaneously by Dongfeng Cummins and Foton Cummins. They have undergone comprehensive upgrades in fuel efficiency, power, reliability, and driving comfort. The fuel efficiency surpasses previous models, saving 5%-10% fuel in typical cargo applications compared to the previous generation. With a maximum power of 350 horsepower and 1400 Nm torque, they redefine power performance. In terms of reliability, 33 reliability technologies have been iteratively upgraded to further enhance reliability. Additionally, improvements in driving comfort include a complete redesign of the gear system, significantly reducing engine noise and vibration."
Cummins Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for China, Sai Junfeng, said when interpreting new product technologies: "This generation of 7.0L and 6.2L platforms inherits the advantages of Cummins' classic B-series platform. Cummins' B-series engines have a history of over 40 years, with a global cumulative sales of over 17 million units, making them the preferred power choice for many renowned global brands in the truck industry." "At the same time, these two engines are also the flagship products of Cummins' multi-fuel engine platform in the medium horsepower segment. Cummins has already introduced the 6.7N natural gas engine, while the 6.7H hydrogen internal combustion engine is currently under development."
